Die in 2007 neu gegründete galerie OPEN by Alexandra Rockelmann liegt zwischen den Berliner Bezirken Kreuzberg und Mitte - unmittelbar dort, wo früher die Berliner Mauer verlief. Sie verfügt über 157 Quadratmeter Ausstellungsfläche. Ihr Motto läßt sich mit der Formulierung Cathy A. Malchiodis wiedergeben, daß das Verlangen, Kunst zu kreieren, „the basic human urge, a trait of our species as natural as language, sex, social interaction and aggression” sei.

galerie OPEN by Alexandra Rockelmann, founded newly in 2007, is located between the Berlin districts Kreuzberg and Mitte – directly where once the Berlin wall divided the city. The gallery provides a total of 157 square meters exhibition space. Its slogan is best formulated in the words of Cathy A. Malchiodis, who said to create art is “the basic human urge, a trait of our species as natural as language, sex, social interaction and aggression.”
